We want going out together to feel easier. That starts with knowing what a place actually allows—and being honest about what we don't yet know.

Who makes this

Wagglewhere is a small independent project, created with AI-assisted research and software development. The Wagglewhere project team selects and presents sources; we are not a park authority, venue representative, accessibility authority or veterinary service. Our current collection covers 25 researched places across London, Austin, Chicago, Melbourne and San Diego. These cities are an initial selection, not a popularity ranking.

What a source check means

For this first collection, we use official authority or venue information for access policy and location. A map pin may identify a whole park, rather than the entrance or off-leash boundary. Every researched place includes original links so you can read the source yourself.

“Latest source check” means the recorded research check, not an on-site inspection. Publication dates, visit dates and collection dates are separate. When a source does not provide a date, we say “Not recorded”. We do not invent reviews, ratings, photos or visits.

Access and confidence are different

Dogs welcome means the available policy explicitly allows the selected ordinary pet. Check restrictions means restrictions apply. Rules conflict means relevant sources differ or their scope is unresolved. Dogs not allowed means an explicit restriction, and Not yet checked means the policy is not established.

Strong evidence points to relevant authority guidance. Limited evidence leaves an important boundary, timing or scope question unresolved. Conflicting evidence contains differing relevant claims. Unassessed means no confidence assessment is available. These labels are editorial assessments, not probabilities or guarantees.

Species, leashes and service animals

Our initial researched records concern ordinary dogs. We do not infer cat or other-pet rules from dog access. Empty land does not mean pets are allowed, and permission to enter does not mean permission to go off leash. Service-animal access is a separate question; if we have not researched it, we say so.

Conflicts stay visible

We retain conflicting source claims rather than choosing the more convenient one. In this release, the Hyde Park Rose Garden record flags a difference in document scope, and the Nobel Park record flags differing hours. Check current signs and the responsible authority before relying on an unresolved rule.

Your outings stay on your device

Want to go choices, saved visits, photos and memories are kept only in this browser using local storage. They are not uploaded or synced. Clearing browser data can erase them. Export a backup from Our outings to keep a copy; it includes photos and memories, so keep it private. You can edit or undo a visit and clear all local outings. A personal visit never verifies official access policy.

Your notes stay private

The map's “We're listening” button welcomes city wishes, ideas and corrections. The city and country fields accept any location. An email is optional. Notes are saved in private storage and are not published as reviews or shared on the map. Please avoid sensitive personal information. Reports start as received; this does not mean the rule has been checked or changed. Memory-book and annual-poster interest is feedback only, with no payment or availability promise. We do not promise a reply time or that a wished-for city will be added.

We use basic abuse controls, including a short-lived salted IP-derived rate-limit key; we do not save your raw IP in the feedback database. We have no advertising trackers or visitor counters. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap, so your browser contacts that provider when loading them. Fonts are served with this website. The map still has a readable list if tiles fail.

A small, honest first collection

No scheduled updates or scraping are configured. Policies can change after a source check. Read the original rule, check posted signs and ask the venue when uncertain. The separate demonstration mode contains fictional examples only and is never evidence for a real visit.
